    Extreme weather combined with COVID-19 in a double blow for millions of people in 2020, reveals the State of the Global Climate 2020.

    The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) launched its new report in a joint press conference with the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, Monday 19 April 2021.

    The WMO reports that the pandemic-related economic slowdown failed to put a brake on climate change drivers and accelerating impacts.

    Secretary-General António Guterres called for global action “to stabilize our climate and end our war on nature.”
