The intense rainfall in New South Wales has hit the mid north coast, Hunter and central coast. All regions are now on high flood alert.

There was one dramatic rescue when paramedics joined forces with a local boat crew to save the life of a little baby, trapped on a flooded property in the Hunter. The 10-month-old had breathing difficulties and the only way rescuers could transport him to hospital was by boat.
