Relatives of the Afzaal family spoke today at Nathaniel Veltman’s sentencing about the grief they and the Muslim community have lived with since his vehicle attack in London, Ont. Amira Elghawaby, Canada’s special representative on combating Islamophobia, says it would be an important message if terrorism was included in his sentencing.
