South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Series of deadly attacks target the Taliban in eastern Afghanistan” – below is their description.
A series of deadly attacks targeted the Taliban in Jalalabad, a city in eastern Afghanistan, on September 22, 2021. At least two fighters and three civilians were reportedly killed in the incidents involving bombings and gunfire directed at Taliban vehicles. While there were no immediate claims of responsibility, Islamic State Khorasan (Isis-K), admitted being involved in similar attacks in the city on September 18 and 19, when at least 38 people died and dozens more were wounded. The Taliban has been in conflict with Isis-K, a regional affiliate of Islamic State (Isis), over economic and ideological issues for years. But Taliban officials recently insisted there is no evidence that their rivals are operating in the country.
