Russian scientist statue dismantled outside Ukrainian museum

Daily Mail published this video item, entitled “Russian scientist statue dismantled outside Ukrainian museum” – below is their description.

Statue of Russian scientist dismantled outside Ukrainian museum. Statue of Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov is removed from base, outside Dnipro museum. Dnipro Deputy Mayor said ‘one of (the scientist) tasks was to stress the importance of Russian people compared to others, that’s why he will be demolished.’ Council utility workers in the city of Dnipro were seen dismantling the giant statue previously placed in the centre of the city in the 1970s. As the war continues, the country has maintained its mission to remove any remnants of Russian and Soviet culture throughout modern-day Ukraine. Local Ukrainian news outlets reported that this was the last monument that has an association to the Soviet era to stand in the city.
