A Russian man is facing three years in prison for allegedly lighting a cigarette from an eternal flame war memorial.The footage shows the local bent over the eternal flame and lighting his cigarette with it before moving his hand backwards and forwards over it in Serpukhov in Moscow Oblast, Russia, on May 7.
The man reportedly faces a fine of up to RUB 3 million (GBP 31,000), community service of up to 360 hours, one year of forced labour or three years in prison.The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region, said officials are searching for a suspect.
