South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Roadside classes help underprivileged pupils cut off from Indian schools during Covid-19 pandemic” – below is their description.
A couple has set up a “school” on a pavement in India’s capital New Delhi to teach underprivileged children who are unable to attend classes in person or online during the Covid-19 pandemic. Around a dozen pupils aged four to 14 are receiving lessons in maths, science, English and physical education. The coronavirus has forced most schools across India to shut down and shift to online instruction since late March 2020, leaving behind those students who have no access to the internet.
