Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Record rainfall in Burundi keeps thousands displaced two years after floods” – below is their description.
Lake Tanganyika is one of the world’s biggest freshwater lakes.
Its water levels have been the highest in decades, displacing thousands of people in Burundi.
Burundi is among the most vulnerable nations to climate change, and the uprooted lives of those around Lake Tanganyika, in miserable makeshift camps without schools for the children or income for their parents, expose the reality of a changing environment.
Al Jazeera’s Priyanka Gupta reports.
