Question Time audience silent when asked if Boris Johnson told the truth about Partygate

Guardian News published this video item, entitled “Question Time audience silent when asked if Boris Johnson told the truth about Partygate” – below is their description.

When the BBC Question Time audience was asked if they thought Boris Johnson was telling the truth to MPs about the Partygate scandal the room fell silent. The ex-prime minister faced a three-and-a-half hour evidence session with the privileges committee in parliament on Wednesday over whether he deliberately misled MPs over lockdown gatherings. Johnson insisted ‘hand on heart’ he had not lied to the Commons. But the Question Time audience did not appear to agree when asked by the show’s host, Fiona Bruce. She told viewers there were more people in the audience who had voted for Johnson and the Conservative party than any other party, before she asked them whether they believed the former PM.
