Queensland’s Chief Health Officer has reinforced that she does not want the state’s under-40s to receive AstraZeneca COVID vaccines.

Dr Jeannette Young says the risk of blood clots is too high to advise young people to receive the vaccine, despite the Federal Government’s announcement that they can request it from their GPs.

“Wouldn’t it be terrible that our first 18-year-old in Queensland who dies related to this pandemic died because of the vaccine?”
