South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Police demand more protection and answers after deadly mosque bombing in Pakistan” – below is their description.
Police officials in Peshawar took to the streets for a protest on February 1, 2023, to demand greater protection after a deadly mosque suicide bombing killed at least 97 officers. At the time of the attack, hundreds of people were gathered for afternoon prayers at the mosque inside a high-security compound where police headquarters are located. Although the city’s police chief said the bombing was a targeted act of retribution against police, investigators are still searching for solid information about the identity and motives of the attacker.
