Pentagon releases ‘UFO’ videos filmed by US Navy pilots

In the US, the Pentagon has released footage, shot from US Navy planes, which show UFOs in the sky.

UFO is short for Unidentified Flying Objects. As these objects are flying, and not identified, they are the dictionary definition of UFOs.

This video was shared by the UK’s Telegraph, but had previously been leaked online.

The Pentagon, the US department responsible for defense, released the footage in order to “clear up any misconceptions” – the video does, however, reaffirm the credibility of the footage.

The Pentagon has released three declassified videos showing US Navy pilots encountering what appear to be unidentified flying objects (UFOs) “to clear up any misconceptions”.

The videos had previously been leaked.

The Pentagon said it released the footage to “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.

A statement on the Department of Defense website said: “After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”

The obvious questions remain: what were these flying objects, and to whom do they belong?
