Police have ended their investigation into lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street and Whitehall, with a total of 126 fines handed out to 83 people.
The £460,000 partygate probe had already resulted one fixed penalty notice for Boris Johnson in relation to his birthday party in June 2020 – but the PM will receive no additional fines.
Helen Ball, acting deputy commissioner of the Met Police, said members of the public will be “surprised and concerned” by the outcome of the force’s investigation.
