Plans to introduce ID cards for Serbians living in Kosovo has caused tension between the two countries to flare in recent weeks.

Kosovo has claimed it is adopting an simlar system imposed on Kosovan nationals living in Serbia, but Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has now called on the their two leaders to engage in “constructive dialogue”.

Since Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, the countries have often come to blows over certain issues.
