Officers involved in the arrest of Nathaniel Veltman testified Friday at the terror suspect’s murder trial in Windsor. They said that Veltman was smiling and even appeared happy as he was being transported to the police station.
The video, which was shown to the jury on Thursday, records the police interview with Veltman just four hours after he was arrested.
Veltam was charged with murdering four family members with his truck while they were out for a walk on the evening of June 6, 2021, and the attempted murder of a fifth, an alleged act of terror.
The 22-year-old has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
