In Washington, the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced a review of security at the US Capitol after last week’s violent riots, warning that any politicians found to have aided the mob would be held to account.
But America remains deep in the grip of a surging coronavirus crisis. More people are dying now than at any point during the pandemic. Joe Biden will address that issue again tonight when he outlines his plan to expand vaccinations.
