South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Myanmar’s anti-coup protesters get combat training in jungle to fight military junta” – below is their description.
Many anti-coup protesters in Myanmar have fled to a combat training camp in the rebel-held Kayin state along the border with Thailand. The trainees believe going to war with the junta will help end the country’s military dictatorship. The armed ethnic rebel group known as the Karen National Union (KNU) has been running the jungle camp, but has declined to reveal how many protesters it has been training. The KNU has condemned the February 1 coup, offering shelter to dissidents fleeing the junta’s lethal crackdown in the cities.
