South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Myanmar military launches more air strikes after ethnic Karen fighters attack army outpost” – below is their description.
Myanmar’s military launched air strikes on an area near the Thai border for a second day in a row on April 28, 2021. The junta says it is a response to an attack by ethnic minority Karen insurgents targeting an army post the previous day. The Karen National Union, Myanmar’s oldest rebel group, supports the movement that has resisted the junta since it seized power from the civilian-led government. The hostilities near the Salween River in Myanmar’s eastern Kayin state is described as one of the worst clashes since the February 1 coup.
