ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Myanmar journalists sentenced to prison for reporting on anti-coup protests | The World” – below is their description.
It has been four months since the military seized power, but daily anti-coup protests continue. At least 849 people have been killed, and thousands more arrested by the Junta. For journalists covering the aftermath of the coup, they are forced into hiding, or to flee the country – while others have been arrested and sentenced. Despite the risks, Myanmar journalists vow to continue reporting on the Junta’s violent crackdown.
