Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest active volcano in Sicily, has been treating locals to spectacular displays of lava since its first eruption on February 16.
The volcano leaped into action again on March 31, sending metre-high streams of lava into the night sky.
Occasionally the volcano has spewed ash over surrounding villages and the nearby town of Catania but has not put residents at risk.
