A mother’s 26-year search for her lost son ended in a heartwarming reunion on June 6, 2021. Through a nationwide campaign known as “Operation Reunion”, Chinese police located Xiao Jie, who was abducted at the age of seven. Xiao Jie last saw his parents in 1995 before he was kidnapped in Guiyang, the capital of southern China’s Guizhou province. After a DNA confirmation, Xiao Jie was reunited with his parents in Shenyang, the capital of northeastern Liaoning province.
