Morocco’s deadliest earthquake in decades has killed more than 2,000 people and injured at least another 2,000, authorities said on September 9, 2023. Rescuers are scrambling to find survivors trapped in remote villages. Many in the city have been forced to spend the night outside, too afraid to return to damaged homes.
