Money Talks with Liam Halligan and Sam White

GBNews published this video item, entitled “Money Talks with Liam Halligan and Sam White” – below is their description.

Being a woman in business isn’t always easy – especially in male-dominated industries like insurance. But that hasn’t stopped one woman from making a serious splash in the insurance industry.

Manchester born Sam White founded ‘Freedom Services Group’ in 1999 from her sister’s conservatory.

Beginning her entrepreneurial ideas from the age of 24 – Sam now boasts multiple businesses spanning the globe, from the UK to Australia, turning over a whopping £14 million last year.

But despite obvious successes – Sam’s career hasn’t been without challenges. She struggled to find funding for her ideas in the UK. So she grew her business in the land down under – finding the Aussies were more willing to invest in her ideas.

And it’s no surprise, with research suggesting that women-led businesses in the UK receive less than 2% of the funds available to men.
