Eight of ten members and associates of the Gambino crime family stayed in custody after pleading not guilty on racketeering charges Wednesday – after a years-long international operation to bring the alleged criminals to justice. The Gambino men, from Manhattan, Staten Island, the Bronx, New Jersey , and Long Island, have allegedly been wreaking havoc in New York for the past 27 years. Salvatore DiLorenzo was the only one of the mobsters allowed to walk free on Wednesday night after nine of them pled not guilty. He was released on a $500,000 bond.
