The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit is taking place in San Francisco from November 14 to 16. The summit provides business leaders in the Asia-Pacific region with an opportunity to engage in discussions with APEC economic leaders and policy makers on regional issues. This year’s conference theme is “Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All,” focusing on the keywords of interconnectedness, innovation and inclusivity.
In this video, Carlos Carrasco, associate professor of economics at the UDEM Business School at the University of Monterrey in Mexico, talks about the issues that should be on the agenda at this year’s APEC CEO Summit and how the Asia-Pacific region can further strengthen cooperation. Carlos says the summit is an opportunity to improve relations among Asia-Pacific countries and reduce some of the geopolitical tensions.
