In this episode Caroline and Liz outline the closing speech of Lucy Letby’s barrister, Ben Myers, KC.
He tells the jury that the prosecution case is based on a presumption of guilt and not innocence. And he claims she is wrongly being blamed for mistakes in care at the hospital.
Lucy Letby is accused of the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of ten others, while she was working on the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital. She denies all charges.
