The WA government has been notified by New South Wales Health that a truck driver that did a return trip to Western Australia has returned a positive Covid-19 test.
The WA Health Minister Roger Cook says the driver passed through several destinations including Coolgardie, Southern Cross, Norseman, Chidlow and Balladonia between the 13th and 17th of September.
He’s received one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The driver and his colleague – who has not tested positive to Covid-10 – were in WA for less than 48 hours and wore masks for all of the time they were out of their truck
Last month two truck drivers from New South Wales tested positive to Covid 19 in WA, but they had very little contact with the public and there was ultimately no community spread of the virus.
