With its iconic black and white fur and rotund body, the giant #panda has captured global affection as China’s national treasure. As one of #China signatures, the panda has helped build a bridge between China and many countries. Nowadays, giant pandas are no longer classified as “endangered.” They’ve been downgraded to “vulnerable” on the global list of species at risk of extinction because more than 1,864 have been found. Most giant pandas inhabit southwestern China’s #Sichuan Province, where the local government treasures them greatly. In addition to numerous nature reserves, government entities also name events after pandas to demonstrate public affection for the animal. One such case is the Golden Panda Awards, an international film festival that is held on September 19 and 20 this year. #GoldenPandaAwards
