Professor David Bailey, a car manufacturing expert at Aston Business School in Birmingham, tells Ian King Live that Vauxhall job cuts and plant closures in the UK are inevitable given uncertainty over customs union membership post-Brexit and Britain’s flexible labour markets which make it easier to let go of workers than in France or Germany.
