Jo Cox: one less voice for the vulnerable?

Will there be any reappraisal of the complex and difficult causes – like the Syrian war – that Jo Cox championed. As it’s clear from her speeches she brought a rare level of front line foreign affairs experience to the House, having worked for Oxfam – rising to be its head of humanitarian campaigns.

Helen Joanne Cox was a British politician who served as Member of Parliament for Batley and Spen from May 2015 until her murder in June 2016. She was a member of the Labour Party. Born in Batley, West Yorkshire, Cox studied Social and Political Sciences at Pembroke College, Cambridge.
