Ivory Coast PM Amadou Gon Coulibaly ‘was somebody deeply trusted by President Ouattara’

West-African country “Ivory Coast is mourning”, as President Alassan Ouattara said when announcing the death of Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly. He was also expected to succeed him in October’s presidential election. “He was somebody who was deeply deeply trusted by the President Alassan Ouattara”, Paul Melly, consultant fellow of the African programmz at the Chatham House Institute, told FRANCE 24.
