Internet giants Google and Facebook are being put on notice that they will be forced to pay Australia’s commercial media organisations for news they place on their platforms.
The Australian Government’s leading the world, with a big-stick approach to extract millions of dollars from the US-based multinationals, in an attempt to shore-up struggling local news publishers.
