ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “International students stranded in Australia, surviving on charity food | ABC News” – below is their description.

International students have been one of the hardest hit groups during the pandemic, with many losing their jobs and unable to return home. A recent Foodbank Hunger report found international students and casual workers have become vulnerable to food insecurity as a result of the pandemic. To meet this growing need, Foodbank Victoria opened a pop-up store for international students, where they could collect fresh produce and staple items for free. The store opened on October 21 and has been visited by about 500 students per day.
