China’s Tianwen-1 spacecraft development team has been awarded the World Space Award, the highest award by the International Astronautical Federation. The honor was awarded at the 73rd International Astronautical Congress held in Paris. This is the second time a Chinese group has been awarded the top prize. Our reporter You Yang takes a look at the development of China’s space exploration programs, as well as the country’s work with international organizations on space research.
