48 patients are now in Northern Territory hospitals after 418 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Seven are acute admissions and are receiving oxygen, but there is no one in intensive care.
There are 4,065 active cases across the NT, which has dropped slightly since yesterday.
The remote community of Yuendumu has recorded 7 new cases and the remote community of Yuelamu has recorded 14 new cases.
Cases in those communities are expected to rise.
The East Arnhem community of Galiwin’ku was placed in a week-long lockdown on Monday.
The remote community of lockdown Yirrkala’s lockdown is due to end tomorrow.
One new case was recorded in Yirrkala.
NT Health Minister Natasha Fyles and Dr Hugh Heggie held a COVID-19 press conference.
