As flood waters recede in British Columbia, people in the hardest hit areas are getting a sense of what’s been lost as they try to move ahead.
In Abbotsford and nearby Sumas Prairie, the lives of tens of thousands of farm animals were lost in the disaster. But despite the high number of losses in the flood-ravaged region, farmers say they were still able to save most of their livestock.
Mike Drolet looks at how people rallied together to protect their livelihoods.
