With a large portion of the U.S. experiencing extreme drought, one Nevada community is hoping that hundreds of sheep will help prevent possible forest fires.
It’s been an annual spring tradition in Carson City since 2006.
As Global’s Ross Hull explains, the sheep graze on cheatgrass and other invasive plants in an effort to reduce vegetation that could fuel fires.
