US special counsel Robert Mueller has convened a grand jury in Washington, DC to investigate allegations of meddling in last year’s president election, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Subpoenas have been also issued over a meeting in June 2016 between President Donald Trump’s son and a Russian lawyer.
Trump denies suggestion his team colluded with the Kremlin to beat Hillary Clinton.
