Gazans too occupied with dying to tune into ICJ proceedings against Israel: Marwan Bishara

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Gazans too occupied with dying to tune into ICJ proceedings against Israel: Marwan Bishara” – below is their description.

Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst, discussed the notion that the key word in Netanyahu’s latest statements is “permanently.” He questioned how 56 years of occupying Gaza and Palestine could transition from being temporary to seemingly permanent. Bishara highlighted the paradox in this shift.

Additionally, Bishara noted that Israel ought to appreciate the advice from the United States.

Blenkin and other US officials have been urging Israel to adopt a more diplomatic and humane approach, or at least maintain the appearance of considering human rights. However, Bishara argued that Israel remains insistent on not doing so.

Bishara pointed out a compelling and solid case made by South Africa against Israel, particularly concerning the conduct of the war. Unfortunately, he predicted that the Palestinians in Gaza would not be able to follow the court proceedings amidst their urgent humanitarian needs.
