The JSC Sukhoi Company is a major Soviet and now Russian aircraft manufacturer, headquartered in Begovoy District, Northern Administrative Okrug, Moscow, that designs both civilian and military aircraft. It was founded by Pavel Sukhoi in 1939 as the Sukhoi Design Bureau.
The aircraft is the product of the PAK FA, a fifth-generation fighter programme of the Russian Air Force. Sukhoi’s internal name for the aircraft is T-50.
