China’s taking further steps towards curbing carbon emissions. The country’s climate envoy Xie Zhenhua held talks this week with his U.S. counterpart John Kerry. Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed climate change with the leaders of France and Germany on Friday. He said China will implement the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, an agreement aimed at reducing both CO2 and non-CO2 carbon emissions. CGTN asked an expert about the significance of this decision and China’s cooperation with the U.S. and Europe.
