Traders in northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo say it is becoming increasingly difficult to run their businesses because of armed groups.

The government is struggling to contain rebel groups that have been attacking civilians and destroying their property.

A state of emergency has been declared in Ituri and North Kivu provinces but many fear the situation is not improving.

Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Butembo in North Kivu.
