For more than two millennia, Confucian thought has been a lifeblood of China, the fountain of a people’s spirit and personal conduct. Today, Confucianism still shines its light with wisdom on social harmony and education, particularly the humanities. On that, CGTN’s Tian Wei talked to Roger Ames, the humanities chair professor at Peking University and professor emeritus of philosophy at the University of Hawaii. Professor Ames not only seeks to dig deeper into Confucian wisdom, but how the ancient philosophy remains vibrant and relevant in China.
