World Health Organization (WHO) published this video item, entitled “Developing a national EDL for a better access to diagnostics” – below is their description.
The World Health Organization Model List of Essential in vitro Diagnostics or EDL is an evidence-based resource that any country can use to help prioritize diagnostics tests that should be available at each level of the healthcare system. However, countries will need to adopt it and adapt it in order to fit their specific needs in terms of disease burden, financial and human resources, infrastructure etc. This video summarizes the steps to developing a national EDL.
