Global News brings you special coverage of the 2021 Calgary municipal election hosted by Linda Olsen and Joel Senick.
This election will see a significant turnover of city council members due to retirements from public life and incumbent councillors running for mayor.
This means there will be at least nine new faces elected to city council among the field of over 100 candidates.
Also on this year’s ballot are questions around fluoride in Calgary’s drinking water, the removal of the twice-yearly time change and the future of transfer payments to Ottawa.
To help break down the night’s events, Dallas Flexhaug will host a panel of experts and analysis from political scientist Duane Bratt.
