Edwin Poots has announced he is to quit as DUP leader after only three weeks in the job.
Mr Poots announced his decision to stand down on Thursday, after attending a three-hour crisis meeting of party officers in the DUP’s east Belfast HQ.
“There’s the concern that political instability can lead to instability on the streets,” says Political Correspondent Darren McCaffrey.
