A couple in New York got married on the street after their registry office closed its doors – and a celebrant conducted proceedings leaning out of a fourth-floor window.

Reilly Jennings and Amanda Wheeler tied the knot on a road after bringing forward their wedding from October due to the worsening coronavirus pandemic

When the registry office closed they thought they would have to postpone but friend Matty Wilson said he was ordained to conduct the ceremony – and 90 minutes later they turned up outside his flat.
