Clean-up operation underway after Leeds United fans’ title celebrations in city centre

A clean up operation was underway in the city centre of Leeds, England, on July 20 after thousands of Leeds United supporters celebrated their side’s Championship title win the previous day.

Video filmed early that morning showed large amounts of litter in the square and surrounding roads, made up of beer cans, boxes, and plastic bags.

Fans had gathered on July 19 to celebrate their team’s title win and promotion to the Premier League, coinciding with Leeds’ victory over Derby County.
