The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Clean-up operation begins after Storm Babet ravages UK” – below is their description.
Rain coming from the wrong direction was to blame for the chaos caused by Storm Babet, the deadliest to hit the UK in 15 years, the Environment Secretary has said.
Residents in Suffolk and Nottinghamshire said they were left unprepared for the scale of the storm, which has left seven dead and hundreds homeless across the country.
Therese Coffey said the Met Office and Environment Agency’s (EA) accuracy in predicting the storm was hampered because it arrived from a southerly direction.
