Chinese engineers and construction workers in Indonesia are sticking to their posts and working hard to build the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, a symbolic project under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during China’s National Day holiday. Contracted by the China Railway Electrification Bureau (Group) Co., Ltd., the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed line is China’s first overseas railway project to fully adopt Chinese technology and standards. The project is proceeding smoothly. Almost all the civil work was done by the end of September, with 13 tunnels along the route already fully open.
